Good Stuff in St Leonards is a creative programme of activities and events in St Leonards designed and led by local residents. Our mission is to provide creative opportunities for people to come together and create positive change in our area and for us to feel proud of where we live.
Good Stuff projects and activities will always have creativity and community at its heart. Current projects include: St Leonards Dance Troop, re:create, All Choired Up and Flexed
In September 2020 we launched a public call-out for funding proposals for new creative projects in St Leonards.
Successful applications will be announced later this year - so watch this space
The Application Process
Deadline for applications was 6pm on Friday 18 September 2020
All applicants are to be informed if they have been shortlisted by Tuesday 29 September 2020
If shortlisted, a Good Stuff member will be in contact with you to discuss your idea and you will be invited to submit a more detailed application or to chat with the group further.
There is a total of £10,000 available to support new projects. Each individual application can apply for a minimum of £500 and a maximum £2000.
Please keep in mind that all Good Stuff in St Leonards creative projects must:
- Be devised and led by local residents
- Bring people together creatively either through participation or being part of an audience
- Create a positive difference to our community and make St Leonards an even better place to live
Funding decisions are made by the Good Stuff Working Group. You can find more information on this group and the Good Stuff in St Leonards Programme in general on our about page.
TOP TIPS FOR APPLICATIONS
Is my idea Creative?
There must be a creative element to your idea - your project should show us how we can use arts and creativity to add value to our community.
Is it Community Led?
How are residents involved in coming up with this idea? How will they be involved in the project? We will score proposals higher for working with the community rather than ‘in aid of’. Your project is welcome to involve other partners too but we want local people to have a say and a stake in the activities that we fund.
Does it have a Clear Purpose?
We need to know why this project is important. Your project might have lots of benefits, that is ok - as long as it’s clear.
