PRIDE PROM
Calling all Hastings and St Leonards LGBTQ+ young people, we need your help to organise the first ever LGBTQ+ Prom Hastings and St Leonards!
This is an invitation for LGBTQ+ young people to join us to create and deliver a prom entirely of your own and provide a safe space for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations to come together for the Prom Party they always dreamed of.
The Prom is scheduled to take place in 2021 but before that there will be lots to do to make it happen.
HELP MAKE PROM HAPPEN
We are looking for young LGBTQ+ people aged 16+ that are eager to learn how to put on a big event for their community and who would be interested in working with us on:
-The entertainment programme (deciding on the host and what performers to include at the Prom - drag, comedy, circus?)
-The music policy (what DJs and live music should we have?)
-The decorations (will we need a red carpet, a photo booth, a mocktail bar?)
-Getting the word out there and marketing the event (do we need a social media campaign, flyers, poster designed?) .
AND LOTS MORE!
We are sure whatever you are interested in there will be something you can help with.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED IN PRIDE PROM
If you are a local young LGBTQ+ person aged 16+ and want to find out more on how to get involved in making the first LGBTQ+ Prom happen in our town then you can join us at our drop-in event on Tuesday 20 October or contact us by Whatsapp, phone or email.
PRIDE PROM DROP-IN EVENT
Tuesday 20 October, 6-8pm at xxx
An informal drop-in session where you can tell us what your ideal Prom would look like and find out more on how to help make it happen. This is also a great opportunity to meet the Prom teem and ask us any questions. Drop in anytime between 6 and 8pm

WHO WE ARE
Pride Prom is organised by Flexed, a community programme led by local LGBTQ+ residents which aims to provide a space for LGBTQ+ young people to come together, socialise and connect through a variety of events and activities.
Our goal is to make our town an exciting and lively place for young people that identify as LGBTQ+.
